Shane's Recruitment Web Site Design Blog
Web design fundamental questions.
What is the purpose of a web site for a recruitment agency? This is not a difficult question, in fact there a lots of answers.
The difficulty is clearly defining all the different objectives that must be met and then delivering a site that delivers all these objectives in a clear way.
Consider your site from the various perspectives of visitors. A job seeker will want very different things from your site than a prospective client. Is it possible to be all things to all these different people without ending up with a cluttered and confused site.
I believe it is possible and now only that, each visitor to your site must have choices to engage with your site in different ways and you must consider all the different objectives you may wish to achieve for each different visitor.
I will continue to work on this project so please watch this space and contact me if you have any suggestions or clever web site ideas. My twitter name is @1ntelligence.
Web design for recruitment agencies
So many recruitment agencies have web sites that follow the same pattern. A home page that looks good and a link to their jobs.
Unfortunately the applications received is a small percentage of those that visit the site and of those applications few people are placed.
It doesn’t have to be this way. I am working on a collection of ideas to make recruitment sites generate real value for the businesses. So much more value can be obtained from site visitors and so much more can be done for them.
This is the first of a series of videos I will be making to explain more of my thoughts and research into this area.
